goodbye 2008
no matter how quickly it's gone, it still feels like i've been stuck in 2008 for the last 50 years
anywhoo, i'm not that excited about 2009, 9 isn't even a cool number
2010 on the other hand, should be pretty sweet!
all the things i can think of that are going to take place in 2009 arn't that amazing. i'm probably not going to make it to america, but i do turn 18
which i'm not dead stoked about but it should be good to go out with my friends now and again.
there are a lot of gigs in 2009, good gigs which i'm pretty excited about!
the summer should be amazing
christmas and new year should be amazing too
everyone's birthdays!
more and more protests/demos!
it's been freezing lately so i've stayed in and watched the hills non-stop, it's getting so good
i now have freeview in my room with about 547365 channels of crap on, a new tv and the first series of scrubs! i'm set
the next demo is on 10th january, if you're interested in helping out get hold of me

SHAC on BBC news
trying to make us look bad
they're soo thick!
SHAC campaigns for the closure of HLS using evidence obtained in five undercover investigations at their different laboratories in the UK and USA where HLS workers have been caught on film punching puppies in the face, simulating sex with animals in their care, cutting open primates while they are still alive and falsifying experiments to get products on the market. HLS workers have even been caught drunk at work and dealing drugs at the labs.
Huntingdon Life Sciences have a criminal record from a British court of law for breaking the Companies' Act. They are the only UK laboratory to ever have their licence revoked by the government.
Shareholders, stockbrokers, market makers, suppliers and clients have all dumped HLS, including the world's largest companies; all four main high street banks in the UK, the world's largest financial institution, the world's second largest bank and the world's largest insurance broker. Huntingdon are $89 million dollars in debt with NO commercial bank and insurance company anywhere in the world prepared to deal with them.

2008

this year has been... not the best
but it's been good
i've grown up quite a bit
met new people who have made a big impact on my life
this summer was amazing
i'm growning up fast, i need to pull my finger out at school, get fit and think about the future instead of doing nothing at all
i'm excited about the future
(:
favourite song for today: From Heads Unworthy - Rise Against
oh and the dog above, he's about to kiss his life goodbye.
he's going to go through the worst way of dying, being skinned alive by a korean man who knows no better.
fur is dead, don't wear it, don't say it's nice and soft and fluffy, don't say 'wow, she looks nice in that ankle length real fur coat,' don't give nice looks to people who wear fur, don't give them the time of day, don't be friends with them, don't say nice things to them, don't let them live.
fur is hideous, no way, in any shape or form is fur acceptable.
seen someone wearing real fur? seen it in a shop? make a scene, let people know you have compassion for billions, yes billions, of animals such as dogs, cats, racoons and rabbits that are taken from their home, familys and friends to live a miserable life in a cage no bigger than a dinner plate, fed on remains of animals who have already been stamped on, anally electrocuted and strangled.
all in the name of 'fashion'
if a real fur coat is 'trendy' in the 21st century, the world has no hope.

as much as you try to avoid seeing things like this, they will always come back.
the shoes you're wearing right now are probably made by a child who gets paid next to nothing to make them, but you still go into school and prance them about to your friends, i bet you don't give the child credit for making them? his family are probably going to die due to poverty, starvation or unsafe drinking water.
that steak you ate for dinner is rotting inside you right now, putting weight right on your bum, hips and belly. that cow was once alive, kicking, shitting and had a life, friends, family and problems of his own. he can't see his friends now.
before you start to think about your stomach, think about the billions and billions of people and animals that die just for you to have steak or shoes or a glass of coca~cola.
i have yet to find a person who genuinly doesn't care at all about the welfare of other creatures, they may hide from it but you can't for long.
if you do, we'll all be gone before you know it.
WE NEED TO CHANGE, NOW.
TO BENIFIT THE WORLD, PEOPLE, AND CREATURES - GO VEGAN AND STAY VEGAN UNTIL THE DAY YOU DIE. LIBERATE THE VOICELESS, FUCK WHAT THE GOVERNMENT SAY.

insomnia has got the better of me
okay so i had to write about this band and let you all know how amazing they are
they're called Thieves And Villains
not only are they amazing and i can't name one bad song they've made, they are so down to earth and incredible guys
they also wear glamour kills, anyone who knows me well knows fully well how much glamour kills i have in my wardrobe!
as if that wasn't enough, and again, anyone who knows me well knows that i like my vege's and vegans, well, this band is working with peta2 to make the world a better place for our furry (and non furry) friends
i did listen to them quite a while back when they first started but kind of lost contact i guess
with the release of their new album Movement which i'm guessing can be brought on itunes and stuff, i got back into them and now listening to the album most of the time
they are so full of life and their upbeat tunes make me want to dance all day long!
so whether you've heard them or not, you need to tell them how amazing they are!
i cannot wait to see these guys live and hang out (:
keep up the amazing work boys!
you can check them out at the obvious place:

yooo'!
okay, so with every post i'm going to put a song that i'm completely addicted to and can't stop playing.
and if you're lucky, a picture that i love or something.
this is just because i have nothing else to write or tell you about, okay? good.
so today's song is Gives You Hell - All American Rejects
i wasn't too keen on their new album but this song is pretty sweet!
anddd... you may or may not have heard about the loss of two young boys this week. i didn't really know them well but it was definatly a loss that no one wanted.
i just want to say, Guy & George, rest in peace, you'll be greatly missed.
and Zak, Ben & Rob, get better soon.
that's all (:

Folie A Deux
i'm not sure about anyone else but i've been waiting for this album to leak for quite a while now.
the original release date was 4th novemeber but got move back to 15th decemeber (correct me if i'm wrong).
as i listen to it now, it's pretty upstate usual fall out boy songs over and over but there's something about it that i really like.
i'm not sure what it is but i do like this album, maybe more than some of their older stuff.
i couldn't pick a favourite song but i have a couple:
Headfirst Slide Into Coopestown On A Bad Bet
The (Shipped) Gold Standard
27 - amazing lyrics in this song
20 Dollar Nose Bleed
overall, it's a good album, good job boys!

growing up;
i think i want to be something like an aid worker
go to third world countries and just help people that have nothing
go to america and help homeless people
or stay here and work with children that have no parents or place to live
something like that,
i'm going to go to careers tomorrow and see if there's some sort of uni course that is linked to stuff like this.
i think it would be incredible to see how other people live, then help them out.

i don't think this will ever be answered.
why do people think its so cool to eat animals?
i don't mean like, cool cool
i mean like, they actually think its actually cool to do it
as in like, 'DUDE! that is sooo cool that you're doing that!'
they think they'll impress me by saying 'god i love beef'
dude, its not cool.
AT ALL.
so stop thinking it is!
for the sake of world hunger, billions of animals lives and the earth.
to all the vegetarians and vegans out there, i love you soo bad.

ever ever ever ever ever never ever
the worst thing in the history of the earth ever ever ever is racism
i'm reading Barack Obama's book and it's incredible
he wrote about how his family had real bad problems with racism
i hate hate hate hateeee it so much
it used to bother me, but i didn't really think it through that well, i've thought it through and whoever makes a racist comment to me, about someone, i'm going to slit their throat and watch them bleed.

favourite lyrics from favourite songs;
"all I have is all of me and its all that I can give
our disappointed hearts will heal
our hearts will spill
over you, over me, over this." - All I Have, The Rocket Summer.
"If I had it my way I'd slit your throat with the knife you left in my back
all the shame, all this guilt, all this regret, that's me
I'm inside of you and this is your world
fucking falling apart mate, from the inside out
everything will fall at your feet - you got hell to pay." - Sleep With One Eye Open, Bring Me The Horizon.
"Take, take a breath
We've got all the time in the world
To get a grip on the fact that we don't last
But right now I want to watch the tide roll in with my best friends." - Let It Roll, All Time Low.
"I'm falling head over heels for you,
I'm falling more in love with every single word you say." - My Beautiful Rescue, This Providence.

To Write Love On Her Arms Day
tomorrow is the 2nd annual To Write Love On Her Arms day.
last year i missed it by a day! but this year i'm going to do it!
all you have to do to show you support TWLOHA is to write LOVE. in preferably black Sharpie on your arm and tell everyone else to do it too.
i guess this is to spread the word about TWLOHA's work.
it's a good cause and a brilliant thing to get involved with, so do it!
to read more on TWLOHA go here - http://twloha.com/
it's worth it.
“I believe that things can get better. I believe that it’s possible to let go of the thing you never thought you could. I believe that we don’t have to live with ghosts. I believe that community is essential, that we need people who know us, people we can share our lives with. I believe that grace is real, that forgiveness is real, that hope is real.” - Jamie Tworkowski

I love this line:
"Somebody said life isn't fair when somebody else was singing a prayer." - Bigger Than Love, My Favourite Highway.
I think everyone's having ups and downs right now, including me. I'm thinking about the future a lot more these days, I'm not sure why because the future scares me.
I'd love to go to university in America. I think about how good it would be, how I'd complete one of my biggest dreams. Then I think about the people I'd be leaving behind and I scrap every idea I ever had.
I need to move on, grow up and realise that I have to and are probably going to part ways with everyone at some point.
I HATE the thought of not being next to my family or my friends, it kills me.
I just need to make the most of right now, life's good, very good but I don't think many of us realise that.
I realise that over the last couple of months I, as a person, have changed a lot. Not only my apperance but my attitude towards life. It's like... one mintue I was brutally fighting for every animal being abused on this earth and the next mintue I'm using make-up that's probably tested on animals. I love the change and everything but It's not cool. I'm a caring person.
A couple of days ago, I probably would have chose a Louis Vuitton bag over a cow, I can't really believe that I was going to buy one, it may sound crazy to you but to me, it's big.
I need to carry on being 'Glamorous Katie' but also remember that I am, at heart, 'Brutal Katie' - the one that charged around Newport with a big sign saying 'KFC Tortures Chickens,' and that's who I'll always be.
I really need to start thinking about proper serious stuff, like what career I'm going into. I keep coming back to this charity idea, going round the world, not getting paid much, not sleeping much, but helping animals and people that are a lot less fortunate than I am. I dunno, I need to think it through.
I need to start looking after my body, eating healthy and excercising like a crazy man. I know this probably won't happen but it's good to think I might.
Christmas is almost upon us. I have a couple of presents picked out for my family. I'm really going to try and go all out for them this year, cause most years I don't even buy them presents and they deserve a lot.
I could go on forever, but I won't.
Thankyou to anyone who's here for me all the time.
I love you more than you'll ever know.

life at the moment
life seems to be pretty perfect
and i'm starting to like this island a bit more than i did
but only because of the people i'm hanging around with, they know who they are
their making my life perfect.
but i can't help but go back to this thought of America, it always turns up and get's me down just as my life is amazing
i need to be in America, i don't care how many people say it's a crap hole and i'll hate it, i need to discover that for myself.
i don't know what my plan for life is but i know i'll be in America.
but for now i guess i've got this beautiful view of orange, brown, red, green and yellow leaves EVERYWHERE. i love autumn, sooo much.
to wake up to this site really puts me in a good mood.
thankyou sooo much to anyone who was with me last night, i love you and you know it.
i'll post some of my favourite photo's from last night when i find some on facebook!

Barack Obama
let's be serious, we all knew he was going to win, and if we didn't think he was then there was something wrong with us.
so far Obama has shown that he's strong and fit for the job of running the most powerful country in the world.
he's a hell of a lot better than Palin anyway.
there's two main thngs i'm worried about though,
one being an obvious one, that everyone who supports Obama has obviously thought about and that's Obama being assasinated.
it's awful to think this, if it ever did happen i'm not really sure what i'd do.
it would just show how much jealousy there is in this world.
the other main thing i'm worrying about is if he'll follow through with all these amazing things he'd said he'd do, like the obvious one being pulling the troops out of Iraq.
i don't like war, no one likes war, appart from Mccain, but did Mccain win? no.
i think Obama is so genuine and a proper family man, he has a lot of appeal and is very down to earth and i think that just from his speeches!
i watched his winning speech in english today and it's very moving, it makes you think.
if i actually lived in America i'd be overwhelmed.
there was a couple of bits which i really liked, but there was one sort of story i guess you could call it, that really really stood out.
"This election had many firsts and many stories that will be told for generations. But one that's on my mind tonight's about a woman who cast her ballot in Atlanta. She's a lot like the millions of others who stood in line to make their voice heard in this election except for one thing: Ann Nixon Cooper is 106 years old.
She was born just a generation past slavery; a time when there were no cars on the road or planes in the sky; when someone like her couldn't vote for two reasons -- because she was a woman and because of the color of her skin.
And tonight, I think about all that she's seen throughout her century in America -- the heartache and the hope; the struggle and the progress; the times we were told that we can't, and the people who pressed on with that American creed: Yes we can.
At a time when women's voices were silenced and their hopes dismissed, she lived to see them stand up and speak out and reach for the ballot. Yes we can.
When there was despair in the dust bowl and depression across the land, she saw a nation conquer fear itself with a New Deal, new jobs, a new sense of common purpose. Yes we can.
When the bombs fell on our harbor and tyranny threatened the world, she was there to witness a generation rise to greatness and a democracy was saved. Yes we can.
She was there for the buses in Montgomery, the hoses in Birmingham, a bridge in Selma, and a preacher from Atlanta who told a people that "We Shall Overcome." Yes we can.
A man touched down on the moon, a wall came down in Berlin, a world was connected by our own science and imagination.
And this year, in this election, she touched her finger to a screen, and cast her vote, because after 106 years in America, through the best of times and the darkest of hours, she knows how America can change.
Yes we can."

some people don't realise how much of a step this is, the first black president of America, it's incredible.
i now have to move there in the next 8 years, i want to be there when Obama's in power.
he will lead America to victory, he knows he will.
and if he doesn't.... BOOOO.
i don't like God much but God bless Barack Obama.
